The mission of Abbotsford School District's Comprehensive School Counseling Program is to ensure that all students will meet academic, career and personal/social goals that will lead to personal satisfaction and fulfillment while being successful in the twenty-first century global society.
We are lucky to have two counselors in our department, Lori Huther and Theresa Reynoso.
Lori Huther has been the School Counselor for the School District of Abbotsford since 2005. She is originally from Medford and graduated from Medford High School. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. She earned her Masters of Arts in Educational Psychology from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. She had previously worked with the Hurley School District as their middle school counselor and Edgar School District as their middle/high school counselor. Her family lives in Abbotsford and her daughter is excited to be a 2nd grade student at Abbotsford Elementary School this year.
Theresa Reynoso has been a School Counselor with the Abbotsford School District since March 2018. She is originally from Pulaski, WI, but had been living in Washington state for the past ten years. Theresa graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls with a Bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages (Spanish), and earned her Masters of Education in School Counseling through American Public University. Theresa lives in Colby with her husband and 5 children. She is fluent in Spanish and cannot wait to get to know all the students and parents in the Abbotsford School District.
