Financial Aid/FAFSA



Fall 2020 

Colby &  Abbotsford High School, will be hosting a virtual, two-part seminar regarding Financial Aid. Parents of high school seniors planning on attending a post-secondary institution following high school are encouraged to view the presentation as well as register for a private meeting.  It is recommended that students participate as well.  Financial aid representatives from Northcentral Technical College in Wausau will be our guests.


The seminar will be divided into two parts:


Financial Aid Presentation – Informational approximate 20-minute meeting regarding financial aid.  Virtual at your leisure. It is best to view this prior to October 12.  Please watch NTC Video.  


Monday, October 12  - Completion of the FAFSA  5 pm – 8 pm

Sign up for a private, individual virtual meeting with a financial aid advisor who will aid you in completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form. 

The FAFSA is the form needed in order to receive financial aid. Prior to the meeting, please establish a FSA ID. Directions regarding how to complete this process are in the Financial Aid Presentation link above. There are several items needed to complete the FAFSA.  Those items are also listed in Financial Aid Presentation link above.

You are welcome to attend one or both sessions.

You can view the presentation or meet with an advisor or both. 


Your Federal Student ID (FAFSA ID)




Before you begin the FAFSA you and your parent need to complete an application to receive an FSA ID.

After you have your FSA ID, you can complete the FAFSA application.  Your FAFSA needs to be completed every year you are enrolled in college.

If you are not a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Resident, please come to speak with a school counselor.
