Update July 1, 2025

The MS/HS will not have water for approximately 1 month. The elementary and FEMA building will have water. The closest restrooms to the MS/HS that will have water are the commons restrooms between the north and south gyms. We will post signs at the restrooms that will be closed. The pool and pool locker rooms will remain in operation throughout the water shutdown. Any summer school classes in the MS/HS would be best to relocate to the elementary or FEMA building. Any students or athletes entering the building during July (for summer school or any activities) need to enter through Door B (elementary main entrance). Summer school staff please park in the elementary parking lot by Nikolay Field. There is a lot of heavy equipment and semi traffic in the north lot (by the football field). I apologize for any inconvenience. Please plan accordingly.

Update May 29, 2025

Excavation will begin Thursday morning (5/29) in the parking lot where shipping/receiving is located. The attached map is marked where the parking lot will be closed starting Thursday morning (5/29). There will be no access to the following doors beginning Thursday morning (5/29): I, J, and K. (Door I is the shipping/receiving door, Door J is the emergency pool exit, and Door K is the pool hallway door.)

Update April 30, 2025

Beginning Wednesday (4/30/25) there will no longer be parking allowed along the building by the pool and auto shop (areas marked in red and yellow). The pool roof replacement is scheduled to begin that day (area marked in red). KBK will be moving extra equipment from the middle of the north lot to the area marked in yellow to gain more parking in the north lot. See attached map.

Update March 28, 2025

We had our construction meeting today.  A few highlights are listed below.  As with our last project, there will be temporary inconveniences along the way.  We are working with Market & Johnson to minimize those as much as possible.  

 

We are working on plans for a groundbreaking ceremony and will send that out when they are finalized.

 

April 14th

• The east parking lot will be shut down to begin construction on the new parking lot and MS/HS six classroom addition.  
  • The MS/HS main doors will remain available for entry and the sidewalk going north will be open.
  • The new parking lot should be done by the end of July.
• The six classroom addition foundation is scheduled to be completed around May 14th.

Approximately May 14th

• The shipping/receiving addition foundation work will begin.  We will come up with a plan for deliveries for the next four months (approximate).
• Construction will begin in Ms. Daniels room

Approximately June 1st

• The new library foundation work will begin and then elementary four classroom foundation after that.
• Middle school bathroom conversion into a classroom will begin.  The classroom should be available for the next school year.
  • The new middle school bathrooms won't be ready until December
• The current MS/HS office vault and workroom area will be turned into a hallway for the new library.
• As much cabling and HVAC work that can get done, will happen over summer.

The new library and new classrooms are scheduled to be done in December.  At that point work can begin remodeling the old library into the new office.

 

The pool work will happen beginning in January and finished up for summer swimming.  The kitchen work will happen next summer.
