Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ

What are the hours of attendance for a full-time student at FEAHS?
FEAHS is open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. The schedule of school attendance is determined by
Work Study programs and transportation needs.  Minimum hours of attendance are 17.5 hours/week and 3.5 hours/day. Instructor determines whether students need to attend more than the minimum hours based on credits obtained upon enrollment, work pace and job status. AM session runs from 8 - 11:30 a.m. PM session runs from 12 - 3:30 p.m.

How do I enroll in FEAHS as a full-time student?
To be eligible for enrollment at FEAHS, a student must be deficient in credits or meet other criteria, such as obstacles in not graduating with their high school class. They must also be a resident student in one of our consortium schools. The referral for enrollment comes from the resident Principal or Counselor from one of these school districts.

How many credits can I earn in a semester at FEAHS?
Each class assigned on a student's learning plan has a course syllabus sheet. This includes the CONNEXUS (computer) lessons that must be successfully completed and will be 90% of the grade. Additionally, there are textbook assignments that are required for 10% of the final grade.

FEAHS is a closed campus
Cell phones need to stay in lockers while you are in school. This is FEAHS and school district policy.

**A student can earn as many credits as they choose by completing these requirements.  It is common for serious students to complete 6 credits per semester when adding the Work Study credits to their learning plans (60 hours of successful work experience = 1/2 credit).  A maximum of 2 credits per semester can be earned through the Work Study program.**
