(3). Pursuant to Wis. Stats. 118.51 and Wis. Stats. 118.57
 

This program will give families of special needs kids more options in their education," said Betsy DeVos, chairman of the American Federation for Children. "It allows children who are not being well served by their local public school the opportunity to attend a school that will help them thrive and succeed.  The Special Needs Scholarship Program will allow Wisconsin students with an IEP who attended public school for the year prior the opportunity to receive a $12,000 scholarship to attend the private school of their parents' choice.

 

(4). Wisconsin Civic Graduation Requirement Starting with the Class of 2017 pursuant to Section 3266R, 118.33(1m)(a)1.

 

WIAct 55 (2015) is the 2015-17 biennialstate budget. There is a requirement in Act 55 that any students graduating from a Wisconsin high school(starting with the class of

2017) "takes a civics test comprised of 100 questions that are identical to the 100 questions that may be asked of an individual during the process of applying for U.S. citizenship by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services and the pupil correctly answers at least 60 of those questions." (Section 3266R, 118.33(1m)(a)1.)
